The SSD Nominating Committee is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and recommending qualified candidates to serve on the Sunriver Service District Managing Board. The committee ensures that all candidates meet the necessary qualifications and align with the mission, vision, and values of the District.

Key Responsibilities
- Candidate Identification & Recruitment
- Publicly announce the nomination period and actively seek qualified candidates.
- Encourage a diverse and skilled pool of applicants to ensure strong board leadership.
- Eligibility Verification
- Review candidate qualifications.
- Confirm that nominees meet eligibility requirements.
- Candidate Evaluation & Vetting
- Assess the professional experience, leadership capabilities, and community involvement of each candidate.
- Conduct background checks to ensure candidates uphold the District's ethical and legal standards.
- Interview candidates to evaluate their understanding of board responsibilities and their commitment to the Sunriver community.
- Communication & Reporting
- Provide regular updates to the Board of Directors on the nomination process.
- Inform candidates of their status and next steps in the cycle.
